Blue Ridge Rock Fest is back for another year and this time its under new management as well as full of many changes from previous years.
This year the event is headlined by Slipknot. The band will be playing saturday evening along w/ other headliners Tenacious D, I Prevail, Starset, Gwar and a host of others. The Festival features nearly 150 bands spread out through 5 days (4 full and a pre party on wednesday) on the Virginia International Speedway in Alton Virginia.
Bands will be spreadout on five stages, two main stages being Monster Energy Stage and the Zyn Stage. The URW and Fan Driven stage will be the two secondary stages. The Heart Support stage is the smallest stage on the festival map boasting many younger up and coming acts.

GHOST plays thier only Festival inside the US w/ thier full stage set up. The band has become known for thier live shows led by leader Tobias Forge. The headlining show at Blue Ridge will be one of the special performances of the weekend.
Ice Cube has been a live jauggernaut since his days w/ N.W.A. One of the most influential hip hop artists of all time and he’ll be one of the only Hip Hop acts to perform on the bill. He headlines the ZYN stage directly before GHOST takes the Monster Stage.

Movie and Television star Jack Black brings his comedy Rock band to Blue Ridge Rock Festival as Tenacious D or “The D” descend upon the festival headlining the Fan Drivin Stage on Saturday Night. The band plans to whip through thier hilarious short songs for the crowd in a rare festival appearance.
